Featuring an elegant raised scrolling vine and leaf motif in warm caramel, brown, and cream majolica glaze, these decorative tiles are a wonderful example of Victorian architectural ceramics. Trenton, New Jersey was once known as the "Pottery Capital of the World," and Providential Tile Works was among the manufacturers producing decorative tiles for homes and public buildings during this era.
Finding a complete matching set of twelve antique tiles is becoming increasingly uncommon. Most surviving Victorian tiles have been separated over the past century through renovations and architectural salvage, making larger matching groups especially desirable for collectors, restorers, and designers.

- Original "Providential Tile Works – Trenton, N.J." maker's marks on the reverse
- Several tiles have chipped corners, edge losses, and minor surface wear from removal and age
- No repairs noted
