Mark Switzer Ceramic Bowl — Orange Red with Blue & White Polka Dots

This Mark Switzer ceramic bowl brings a cheerful pop of orange-red to a bar cart or collected shelf. Blue-centered white polka dots scatter across the glossy interior, while a cream exterior and deliberately notched rim add to its playful character.

The underside carries an incised Switzer signature, a ©1996 mark, and a separate “8/01” inscription. The latter may indicate August 2001; the copyright date is recorded separately rather than treated as a confirmed production date. Display stand not included.

Why I Chose This Piece

I love the lively contrast between the orange-red glaze and the little blue-and-white dots. The unexpected notched edge gives this bowl a sculptural quality that makes it stand out even when displayed empty.
